The trail starts out along
a plankway built over a small pond where beavers make their home throughout
the year. Photo taken in the summer of 2003.

A sandy hill lies just
across the river in Mexico, separating the inhabitants of a small ranch
(in the farground, to the right of the hill) from the sleepy border town
of Boquillas (located further downstream along the river, to left and out
